Recipe - Winter Fruit Compote

1 cup Chicken broth (College
Inn)
16 ounce Peaches, cut or sliced up drained
3 tablespoon Sugar, light brown
20 ounce Pineapple chunks drained
2 tablespoon Lemon juice
17 ounce Cherries, dark sweet pitted
1 teaspoon Cornstarch
Drained
One fourth teaspoon Allspice ground
6 ounce Apricots dried
In 3quart ovenproof casserole, stir together broth, brown sugar, lemon
juice, cornstarch and allspice; add fruits, stirring well. Cover; bake at
350 degree for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm as a side dish
with poultry or pork or as a dessert.
