Recipe - Wandas 15 Minute Soup

2 pound Ground Turkey
1 md Onion; Chopped
3 Cloves Fresh Garlic; Chopped
Salt And Pepper; To Taste
2 cn Minestrone Soup; (I Use
Progresso)
2 cn Tomatoes With Green Chilis;
Diced
1 cn Mixed Vegetables; Not
Drained
2 cn Ranch Style Beans; Not
Drained Or Pinto Beans, Not
Drained
Combine canned ingredients in large pot and place over low heat to heat
through.
At same time, saute the turkey, chopped onion, chopped fresh garlic,
seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
When turkey, onion, and garlic is cooked through, drain. Add turkey, onion
and garlic to remaining ingredients. Simmer while preparing and cooking a
pan of corn bread.
NOTES :
*This soup can also be prepared in the crockpot.
*This recipe originally called for beef but even with using ground sirlon
it was cal 38.9% from fat. Now by using the ground turkey it brought it way
down to 25.1%.
*This recipe originally calls for the regular RoTel minced tomatoes with
green chiles and Ranch Style Beans. This is very spicy! For a milder
version you can use the mild RoTel (or even regular minced canned tomatoes)
and canned Pinto Beans.
