Recipe - Vickis Country Cornbread

1 One half cup Milk or butter milk or sour
milk
1 Egg
2/3 cup Sugar (optional)
1 cup Cornmeal (yellow or white)
1 cup Flour
3 teaspoon Baking powder
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Beat first three ingredients until frothy. Add the next three ingredients
mix until moistened.. do not over mix.
Melt one tbsp of shortening in an iron skillet while you are preheating the
oven. Carefully pour the mixture in your hot skillet, Bake for 2025
minutes or until golden brown
