Recipe - Verde Papas Con Chile Verde (Green Chile Potatoes)

2 cup Pototoes; peeled & thinly
slic
2 tablespoon Shortening
One fourth cup Chopped onions
2 cup Water
One half teaspoon Garlic salt
One half teaspoon Salt
One half cup Chopped green chile*

1. Brown potatoes in shortening in a mediumsized skillet at medium heat.
Add onions and seasonings and cook until onions are tender. 2. Add green
chile and water and simmer for 1520 minutes at low heat. * Varied amounts
may be used
