Recipe - Tootie Bread

1 Loaf French bread
1 pack (8oz) Swiss cheese slices
One half cup Margarine; softened
One fourth cup Finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon Prepared mustard
1 tablespoon Poppy seeds
4 sl Uncooked bacon; cut into
small pieces
Preheat oven to 400ø. Partially slice the bread into 16 pieces. Cut each
slice of cheese diagonally and place one triangle of cheese in between each
piece of bread. Place the bread on a foil covered cookie sheet. Combine
margarine, onion, mustard and poppy seeds and mix well. "Ice" the bread on
top and sides. Place small pieces of bacon on top. Bake for 20 minutes and
serve hot. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
