Recipe - Teriyaki Chicken

2 One half pound Broilerfryer chicken,
cut into 8 pieces
One fourth cup Soy sauce
One fourth cup Sugar
One fourth cup Sake (Japanese rice wine)
Or cooking sherry
One fourth teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Monosodium glutamate (opt)
1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
1 teaspoon Grated fresh ginger root
1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients. Marinate chicken pieces 3 to 4
hours. 2. Place chicken skinsidedown in a deep, 3quart, heat resistant,
nonmetallic baking dish and heat in Microwave Oven 12 minutes. 3. Turn
chicken skinsideup and heat an additional 6 minutes or until chicken is
forktender. Baste occasionally with sauce.
