Recipe - Tastees Onion Chips

Onions (cut into chips)

BATTER
3 pound Flour
3 cup Water
3 tablespoon Sugar
3 tablespoon Salt (I use less)
3 cup Milk
2 tablespoon Melted Crisco

TASTEE'S ONION DIP
32 ounce Cottage cheese; drained a
bit
32 ounce Sour cream
One half teaspoon Celery salt
One half teaspoon Onion salt
One half cup Milk
1/3 teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Accent (optional)
1 Envelope onion soup mix
(dry)

The original source is Tastee's DriveIn in Lincoln, Nebraska. I got them
when they were published in the Lincoln JournalStar; and Yes, I have made
them so they are TNT:

Mix ingredients together. Dip onion chips into batter. Deep fry in hot oil
until golden brown.

TASTEE'S ONION DIP Mix all ingredients together.
