Recipe - Swiss Steak With Stewed Tomatoes

1 One half pound Round or chuck steak
2 tablespoon Flour
Three fourths teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Pepper
3 tablespoon Shortening
1 One half cup Stewed tomatoes
1 lg Onion cut or sliced up
Preheat to 325. Trim fat from meat, and cut into serving pieces.Combine
flour ,salt, and pepper. Sprinkle half the flour into 1 side of the meat,
pound in with edge of saucer. Turn meat and repeat on other side. Heat
shortening, brown meat on both sides. Add to a 13x9 baking pan. Add
tomatoes and onions. Cover with foil. Bake for 2 hours.
