Recipe - Swiss Steak With Vegetables

2 pound Round steak
Garlic salt
One half cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Paprika
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
One half cup Onion finely chopped
1 cup Mixed vegetables finely
Chopped
Carrots,celery,green pepper
Tomatoes
Salt and pepper
1 cup Beef broth
One half cup Tomato sauce
Preheat to 300. Cut meat into 6 serving pieces, season with garlic salt,
let set in. Mix flour and rest of seasonings. Heat some oil in large
skillet. With edge of plate, pound as much flour into meat as possible,
brown on both sides. When last batch is turned to 2nd side and onion and
mixed veggies.Do not brown veggies. Add all to a 13x9 baking dish. Season
with salt and pepper. Pour broth and sauce atop. Cover and bake for 22 1/2
hours.
