Recipe - Southwestern Chipotle Baked Beans

3 Canned chipotles in adobo,
stems removed, chopped
2 teaspoon New Mexican chile powder
2 tablespoon Adobo sauce
1 lg Onion, chopped
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
One fourth pound Slab bacon, cut into 1/2
inch pieces
One half cup Ketchup
One half cup Beer or water
One fourth cup Dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon Dry mustard
3 cup Cooked great northern beans
Saute chipotles, onion, and garlic in oil until soft.
Combine with other ingredients, and mix resulting sauce into the beans.
Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours, adding water if beans get too dry.
