Recipe - Southwest Turkey Melts From Lhj

Ingredients:

One fourth cup Plus 4 teaspoons prepared
salsa
3 tablespoon Mayonnaise or salad dressing
3 Green onions; cut or sliced up thin
2 tablespoon Chopped fresh cilantro
2 cup Diced cooked turkey; or
cooked chicken
4 sl Sourdough bread; toasted
1 pack (6 oz.) cut or sliced up Monterey jack
cheese
1 Avocado; cut or sliced up
Cilantro leaves; for garnish
Lime wedges; for garnish

1. Heat broiler. Combine One fourth cup salsa, the mayonnaise, green onions and
cilantro in bowl. Add turkey and toss. Place toast slices on cookie sheet.
Spoon turkey evenly on toast; top with cheese. Broil 1 to 3 minutes, until
cheese begins to brown.

2. Top sandwiches with avocado and remaining 4 teaspoons salsa. Garnish
with cilantro leaves and lime. Makes 4 servings.
