Recipe - Smoked Beans

Categories: None, Smoked Beans
Ingredients:

1 cn (large) pork & beans (about
3 pounds)
One half pound Pork bbq (shredded)
1 Green bell pepper (chopped)
1 Red bell pepper (chopped)
1 Jalapenos (seeded and
chopped) (up to 2)
1 lg Onion, preferable vidalia
(chopped)
3 Stalks celery (chopped) (up
to 4)
One half cup Bbq sauce (I cheat using
Calhoun's from Knoxville)
(up to 3/4)
1 tablespoon Prepared mustard (usually
brown) (up to 2)
2 tablespoon Brown sugar (up to 3)
One fourth cup Molasses, about
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (up to
2)
Couple of shakes of favorite
hot sauce (i.e. Durkee's)
1 teaspoon Salt, about
1 teaspoon Black pepper, about
1 teaspoon Garlic powder, about
1 tablespoon Chili powder, about
1 tablespoon Cumin, about
1 Bottle minus several healthy
swallows :) beer (I
usually use something
dark... like a Nut Brown
Ale)

(please forgive the approximations... I rarely measure)

mix in a sturdy aluminum pan or an old pot ...don't use your wife's
favorite :(

smoke for about 6 hrs. (or 'till the ribs are done)

suggested about 1 hour before serving, ingest a Pepsid AC or equivalent
;)
