Recipe - Sidneys Cornbread

One half cup Sifted flour
1 One half cup Yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoon Sugar
3 teaspoon Baking powder
3 Eggs, beaten lightly
1 cup Milk
One fourth cup Cream
One half cup Butter, melted
Sift the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Add the eggs and milk and
beat with a spoon until the mixture is just moist. Beat in the cream and
melted butter. (Do not overbeat.) Pour the batter into an 8 One half x 11inch
buttered pan. Bake at 400degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
Yield: approximately 12 pieces.
