Recipe - Savory Meat Loaf (Kottfars)

One half cup Dry bread crumbs
1 One half cup Milk
1 Egg,beaten
1 pound Beef ground
One fourth pound Ground pork or sausage meat
1 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
4 Diced bacon slices, crisp
cooked. drained
2 Onions, cut or sliced up thin
from: the wonderful world of cooking
Saok crumbs in milk for several minutes. Add next 5 ingredients. Mix. Place
1/3 of meat mixture in bottom of loaf pan. Spread with One half of the bacon
~onion mixture . Cover with One half of the remaining meat mixture. Spread with
remaining bacononion mixture. top with remaining meat. Pack down into loaf
pan. Bake at 350 degs for 1 hour.
