Recipe - Savory Cheeseburgers

1 pound Ground beef
2 cup Cheerios cereal; crushed
2 tablespoon Onion; chopped
2 tablespoon Green bell pepper; chopped
2 tablespoon Chili sauce
1 teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon McCormick/Schilling black
pepper
One fourth cup Milk
1 Egg
6 sl Processed American cheese
6 Hamburger buns; buttered &
toasted

Mix all ingredients except cheese and buns. Shape mixture into six 3inch
patties. Set oven control to broil and/or 550 degrees. Broil patties with
tops 4 to 5 inches from heat 5 minutes on each side. Top each patty with
cheese slice. Broil until cheese melts, about 2 minutes. Serve on buns.
Makes 6 sandwiches.
