Recipe - Sauteed Abalone

1 pound Abalone
1 Egg; slightly beaten
2 teaspoon Milk
Three fourths cup Sifted seasoned dry bread
crumbs
2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
Recipe by: Joy of Cooking Cut the abalone into 3/8inchthick steaks
accross the grain and pound to tenderize Mix the egg and milk and beat
slightly. Place mixture in a shallow plate. In second plate place the
bread crumbs. Dip the abalone in the egg wash and then coat in the bread
crumbs. When the oil is hot saute the abalone steaks for about 1 One half to 2
minutes on each side.
