Recipe - Sauted Asparagus

2 pound Asparagus; (only the tender
portions)
2 tablespoon Sliced onion
3 tablespoon Oil
3 tablespoon Soy sauce
1 One fourth teaspoon Sugar
2 tablespoon Sherry
1 pack Powdered beef broth; (i.e.
MBT or Herb Ox)
One half teaspoon Cornstarch mixed; mixed
with:
3 tablespoon Water
Wash asparagus and cut diagonally about 2 inches long and One fourth inch thick.
Heat oil, brown onion a little; add asparagus cooking over a high heat
until its color turns bright green. Mix soy sauce, sugar, powdered beef
broth and sherry together; add to asparagus, and thicken with cornstarch
mixture. This same recipe can be used substituting broccoli, mushrooms or
string beans for the asparagus. Enjoy
