Recipe - Sausage Gravy (For Chicken Fried Steak Or Biscuits)

1 pound Sageflavored bulk pork
Sausage
2 tablespoon Finely chopped onion
6 tablespoon Allpurpose flour
1 qt Milk
One half teaspoon Poultry seasoning
One half teaspoon Ground nutmeg
One fourth teaspoon Salt
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Dash hot pepper sauce
Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over mediumlow heat. Add
onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2
tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour; cook over mediumlow heat about 6
minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden. Stir in milk. Add
seasonings; cook, stirring, until thickened.
Serve over biscuits or over chicken fried steak.
Yield: 4 servings.
