Recipe - San Jacinto Inn Rolls

4 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
Three fourths cup Shorting
3 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 Three fourths cup Milk
Shift flour, baking powder, salt, & sugar. Add shortening and milk. Work
with hands on floured board until smooth. Roll and cut into 12 rolls. Bake
for 10 12 minutes at 400425F.
For you nonTexans, San Jacinto is just outside of Houston. It is the place
of the final battle for Texas Independence. The Inn is a large resturant
which serves a family style meal with a variety of gulf seafood and Texas
dishes. The rolls are best served hot with plenty of butter and honey.
