Recipe - Sachertorte Cookies

1 cup Butter or margarine;
softened
1 small Package instant chocolate
pudding
1 Egg
2 cup Flour
3 tablespoon Sugar
1 Jar Polaner AllFruit dark
cherry preserves
One half cup Chocolate chips
3 tablespoon Butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 350F. Cream margarine and pudding mix until light and
fluffy; beat in egg. Gradually add flour at low speed until well mixed, and
soft dough forms. Shape into 1" balls, roll in sugar. Place 2" apart on
ungreased cookie sheets. Make imprint in middle with thumb. Bake at 325F
for 1518 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and cool. Fill each cookie with
One half teaspoon preserves. Melt together chocolate chips and butter; stir
until smooth. Drizzle over cookies. Yields 4 dozen.
