Recipe - Russian Easter Bread

7/8 cup Milk
1 One half tablespoon Butter
1 Egg
Three fourths teaspoon Salt
1/3 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Lemon zest
3 cup Bread flour
1 One half teaspoon Yeast
1 One half tablespoon Amaretto
3 tablespoon Raisins; golden or dark ***
3 tablespoon Candied cherries; chopped
***
3 tablespoon Candied pineapple; chopped
***
3 tablespoon Almonds; chopped ***
Soak the raisins in amaretto (or sherry) for at least 15 minutes. Drain
before adding to the dough.
*** add these ingredients after the first kneading period when the dough
has formed a smooth ball.
Makes a 1.5 pound loaf.
