Recipe - Round Steak Sauerbraten

1 One half pound Round steak; 1/2" thick
1 tablespoon Oil
1 Env brown gravy mix
2 cup Water
1 tablespoon Onion; minced
2 tablespoon White wine vinegar
2 tablespoon Brown sugar
One half teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Ginger
One half teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Bay leaf
Cut meat into strips. In large skillet, brown meat on all sides in hot oil.
Remove meat from skillet; add gravy mix and water. Bring to boiling,
stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Return meat to skillet,
cover and simmer for 1One half hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf.
Serve over hot buttered noodles.
Serves: 6
