Recipe - Raspberry-Fig Breakfast Bar Recipe (And Fig Puree)

Ingredients:

FIG PUREE
1 One half cup California dried figs
(coarsely chopped)
1 cup Water
2 tablespoon Honey

BREAKFAST BAR RECIPE
4 One half cup Flour
3 teaspoon Baking powder
3 cup Brown sugar
4 One half cup Oats
One half cup Butter or margarine
softened
1 One half cup Fig puree'
8 ounce Raspberry jam

FIG PUREE: Combine figs, water and honey in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until softened. Using knife
blade in food processor bowl; add fig mixture. Process 10 seconds or
until smooth.

Preheat oven to 250 F. Mix all ingredients except jam. Form into
"crumbs". Press half of mixture into pan sprayed with PAM. Spread jam on
crumb crust. Form top layer with remaining mixture. Bake 5060 minutes.
