Recipe - Quick Coconut Bars

Categories: None, Quick Coconut Bars
Ingredients:

1 Box small onelayer white
cake mix (or One half of a
2layer cake mix, about 2
cups)
3 tablespoon Butter
1 One half cup Miniature marshmallows
1 pack (6 oz) chocolate chips
1 cn (3 One half oz) shredded coconut
1 cup Broken mixed nuts (I used a
mixture of almonds and
walnuts, anything would
work here)
1 cn (14 oz) sweetened condensed
milk

Heat oven to 350. In oven, melt butter in baking pan, 9x13.2 inches. Tilt
pan to coat bottom with butter. Sprinkle dry cake mix over butter. In order
listed, sprinkle marshmallows, chocolate chips, coconut and nuts on cake
mix. Pour milk evenly over top.

Bake about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Run knife around edges to
loosen. Cool. Cut into bars, 1 One half by 1 inch. Makes 6 dozen bars.

My note: I found that at 350 in my oven it tended to brown too quickly. I
had to lower the cooking temperature 25 degrees halfway through the baking
time. But my oven tends to be strange....is too hot for some things, not
for others. So I have to check...I'd recommend checking the bars half way
through to see how they're doing.
