Recipe - Quick Chicken A La King

2 tablespoon Butter
One fourth cup Allpurpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup Skim milk; up to 1 One half cups
One half cup Chicken broth
4 ounce can mushroom stems and
pieces
1 Garlic clove; minced
2 cup Cooked chicken; cut into
chunks
One fourth cup Chopped red bell pepper
2 tablespoon Dry sherry
4 Prebaked pastry shells
Fresh chopped parsley for
garnish
In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper to
taste. Add milk and chicken broth. Stir and cook until thickened and
bubbly. Add mushrooms and garlic. Stir in chicken, red pepper and dry
sherry. Heat through. Spoon into precooked shells. Serve warm, garnished
with fresh parsley.
