Recipe - Pure White Royal Buttercream

One fourth cup Meringue powder
2 pound Confectioners' sugar
1 One half cup Vegetable shortening 6
tablespoons water
1 tablespoon Clear flavoring (a tinted
flavoring will change color
or the icing)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix at slow speed until smooth. Add a
few drops of water, if needed.
Yield: enough to fill and cover a 2 layer 9inch cake
