Recipe - Prune And Bitter Chocolate Tart

6 ounce Prunes; pitted
3 One half ounce Good quality plain chocolate
8 "; (20cm) diameter
; sweet shortcrust
; pastry case
2 Eggs
2 ounce Soft brown sugar
2 ounce Butter; melted
Grated zest and juice of 1
lemon
Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/gas 5.
Chop the prunes and chocolate and place in the pastry case. Beat together
the eggs, sugar, butter, lemon zest and juice, and pour the mixture into
the pastry case. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the
custard is just firm.
Serve warm with cream, vanilla ice cream, fromage frais or fresh vanilla
custard.
