1 One fourth cup Brown sugar
1 Three fourths cup Sugar
One half cup Butter =or=
One half cup margarine
1 cup Evaporated milk
2 tablespoon Dark corn syrup
4 cup Pecan halves
Combine first 5 ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook
20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add pecans and cook, stirring
constantly, until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped by teaspoonful
into cold water (236F on a candy thermometer). Drop by teaspoonfuls onto
waxed paper. Cool.
