Recipe - Potato Gratine

2 lg Russet potatoes, peeled and
cut into One fourth inch thick
slices
1 One half cup ( 6 oz.) shredded Cheddar
cheese
Three fourths cup Whipping cream
Three fourths cup Dry white wine
4 Eggs
1 teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Ground white pepper
One half teaspoon Garlic powder
Place potato slices in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a
boil and cook until potatoes are tender; drain.
Preheat oven to 350øF. Press aluminum foil around bottoms of 8 greased 4
inch tart pans with removable bottoms. Arrange potato slices in pans.
Sprinkle cheese evenly over potatoes. In a medium bowl, whisk cream, wine,
eggs, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Pour cream mixture evenly over
potatoes. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. To serve, remove
from pans and place on individual plates. Yield: 8 servings. Typed in
