Recipe - Pest Powder

8 teaspoon Crushed Coriander Seeds
8 teaspoon Powdered orris root
3 Cinnamon sticks
Dried peel of 1 orange
Handful of nutmeg
Handful of cloves
One half teaspoon White sugar
small Handful of lavender flowers
small Handful of wormwood or
southern wood

1. Put the cinnamon sticks, cloves and nutmeg in a grinder. Add all the
other ingredients and mix in a large bowl. Fill the linen sachet with the
mixture and secure.

2. To make little spice bags simply put a small amount of mixture in centre
of handkerchief and tie up. Decorate with ribbon.
