Recipe - Pasta Twists With Shrimp

1 pound Tricolor Pasta Twists;
Uncooked
12 ounce Medium Fresh Shrimp;
Uncooked
1 bn Broccoli; (About 1 One fourth Lb)
28 ounce Crushed Tomatoes
1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
One half teaspoon Salt
Note: Original recipe used 2 Tbsp olive oil but it isn't needed
Cook pasta twists according to package directions.
Trim broccoli stems, and cut in 1/4" slices; separate florets. About 5
minutes before pasta is done, add broccoli. Continue cooking, stirring
twice, until pasta and broccoli are firmtender.
Meanwhile, in large skillet, (if you were to use the oil add it now) add
tomatoes, garlic and salt. Simmer 1 2 min more, stirring once, until
shrimp are pink and cooked through at center. Remove shrimp mixture from
heat.
Drain pasta and broccoli and return to saucepan. Add sauce; toss to mix.
To Microwave: Cook pasta and broccoli as directed. Into a 3 qt
microwavesafe bowl, (add oil if you choose to use it) tomatoes, garlic and
salt. Stir, then cover with lid or vented plastic wrap. Microwave on High 4
~ 5 min, or until hot. Stir in shrimp. Cover and microwave on High 3 4
minutes, stirring once, until shrimp are pink and cooked through in center.
Proceed as directed.
This was very good and quite filling.
