One half cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Grated lemon peel
1 One half cup Sifted flour
9 Glaceed cherries; chopped
fine
9 Glaceed cheeries; halved
18 Filiberts
Confectioners' sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and lemon rind. Mix well. Stir in flour
and chopped cherries. Roll between waxed paper to One fourth inch thickness. Cut
with 2 inch cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Top each cookie
with One half cherry and 1 filbert. Bake at 375 degs for 810 minutes Sprinkle
with confectioners' sugar makes 1 One half doz
