Recipe - Oven-Baked Eggnog French Toast

1 Loaf italian or french bread
4 Eggs
1 cup Half & half
3 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/8 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
Powdered sugar
Cut bread crosswise into 16 slices. Grease 2 large cookie sheets. Place
bread slices on sheets. In a large bowl, beat eggs with half & half, sugar,
vanilla and nutmeg until blended. Pour mixture over bread in pan, turning
slices occasionally to coat both sides and until all mixture is absorbed.
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Bake 810 minutes on each side or until golden
brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
