Recipe - Our Familys Swiss Steak

Categories: None, Our Familys Swiss Steak
Ingredients:

1 One half pound Beef top round steak (1/2"
thick), cut into serving
sized pieces
4 cup Sliced onions
2 Jars (4.5 oz) Green Giant
whole mushrooms, drained
1 cn (10 One half oz) condensed beef
broth
One fourth teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
One half cup Water
4 tablespoon Cornstarch

The following recipe is definitely a TNT! I got it from Pillsbury "Good For
You Dinners" Sept 96. To my Texas heart, this is good home cookin'!!
Serve it over mashed potatoes umm umm good!!

Heat oven to 325 degrees. In large oven proof baking dish, combine all
ingredients except water and cornstarch; mix well. Cover.

Bake for 2 One half 3 hours or until beef is tender.

In small bowl, combine water & cornstarch; stir into beef mixture. Bake an
additional 15 minutes or until gravy has thickened.

Note: This is my version as I have changed the recipe by doubling
everything but the beef and the salt & pepper we LOVE gravy at our
house!!
