Recipe - Orient Hotel Gingerbread

2 One half cup Allpurpose flour
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Molasses
1 cup Boiling water
One half cup Butter, softened
2 Eggs
2 teaspoon Cinnamom
2 teaspoon Ginger, ground
1 teaspoon Baking soda
Icing sugar
=Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 13 x 9inch baking pan. Stir
together flour, sugar, molasses, water, butter, eggs, cinnamom and ginger
in a large bowl until smooth. Dissolve baking soda in a little hot water
and stir into batter. Spoon into pan. Bake for 45 minutes, until a
toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cook slightly in
the pan, then dust with icing sugar and cut into squares.
