4 sl Rye bread
Softened butter for
spreading
Russian dressing; recipe
follows
1 pound Very thinly cut or sliced up corned
beef
1 cup Well drained; chilled
sauerkraut
4 sl Swiss cheese
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spread each piece of bread with butter and
Russian dressing. Arrange the bread on a baking sheet. Divide the corned
beef and sauerkraut evenly among the
bread and top each with a slice of cheese. Place the baking sheet in the
oven for 5 minutes. Preheat the broiler and place the sandwiches under the
broiler until the cheese is lightly browned.
Yield: 4 sandwiches
