Recipe - Open-Faced Ruebens

36 sl Party rye or pumpernickel
bread
6 ounce Monterey jack cheese
w/jalapeno peppers
1 cup Sauerkraut; well drained
4 ounce Smoked turkey breasts;
thinly cut or sliced up
4 ounce Corned beef brisket; thinly
cut or sliced up
One half cup Thousand island salad
dressing
Sweet pickles

Arrange about 10 slices of party bread on plate. Thinly slice cheese to fit
bread. Top with about 2 teaspoons of sauerkraut. Top sauerkraut with turkey
or corned beef. On top of this add a scant teaspoon of dressing. (These may
be made up to 2 hours in advance if refrigerated). Assemble remaining
appetizers. When ready to serve, microwave one plate at MEDIUM for 5 to 6
minutes or till cheese is melted, rotating once during cooking. Repeat with
remaining appetizers. Garnish with sweet pickles. Makes 36.
