Recipe - Nut Gingerbread

1 One half cup Brown sugar
One half cup Molasses
One fourth cup Melted butter or butter
substitute
1 Egg, well beaten
One half teaspoon Salt
1 One half tablespoon Brown sugar
1 cup Sweet milk
2 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Ginger
1 teaspoon Baking soda
3 tablespoon Chopped nuts
Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, salt, and ginger. Combine 1
One half cups brown sugar, molasses, butter, and eggs. Add dry ingredients
alternately with milk to sugar and molasses mixture. Beat until well
blended. Pour into welloiled baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts and 1 1/2
tablespoons brown sugar. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) about 30 minutes.
