Recipe - Not-So-Sinful Brownies

Ingredients:

One fourth cup Applesauce
3 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
1 One fourth cup Granulated sugar
One half cup Applesauce
4 Egg whites; lightly beaten
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Quick or old fashioned oats;
uncooked
1 cup All purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
One fourth teaspoon Salt; optional
Powdered sugar; optional

Preheat oven to 350. Spray bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan with nonstick
vegetable cooking spray.

In large saucepan, combine applesauce and chocolate. Heat over low heat,
stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat; cool
slightly. Add sugar and applesauce; mix well. Stir in egg whites and
vanilla; mix well. Add combined oats, baking powder and salt; mix well.
Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake 2225 minutes or until center is set
and eges pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely. Sprinkle with
powdered sugar before serving, if desired. Cut into 24 bars. Store loosely
covered. Makes 24 servings.
