Recipe - North Carolina Barbecue Sauce

Categories: None, North Carolina Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients:

1 qt Cider vinegar
1 Jar (6oz) mustard
2 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
Three fourths pound Dark or light brown sugar
2 Bottles (14 oz) catsup
Black pepper to taste
1 cup Worchestershire Sauce
1 pound Butter (or margarine)
1 teaspoon Salt
Lemon juice to taste
3 dr Liquid Smoke (up to 4)
1 tablespoon Crushed garlic

Cook on top of stove for 3 hours. I cooked it in my crockpot on low for
about 8 hrs. What I did was keep tasting it throughout the day and adding a
little more of this or that (above ingredients) until it got to the taste I
liked. Being from California, I wasn't that used to such a vinegary taste,
but it sure can grow on you!! This was Steve's family recipe. Hope you like
it. Posted to TNT Prodigy's Recipe Exchange Newsletter by "Lewis'"
