Recipe - Nantucket Cranberry Pie

2 cup Cranberries, chopped
One half cup Walnuts, chopped
One half cup Sugar
2 Large eggs
Three fourths cup (1 One half sticks) melted and
Cooled butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Flour
One fourth teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Almond extract
Preheat oven to 350F. Put the chopped cranberries and walnuts and One half cup
sugar in a buttered 10inch pie plate or springform pan. Mix 2 large eggs,
Three fourths cup melted and cooled butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, One fourth teaspoon
salt, and One fourth teaspoon almond extract. Stir the batter utnil it is smooth
and pour it over the cranberry walnut mixture. Bake the cake in the middle
of the oven for 40 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean.
