MIX
4 cup Crisco
12 cup Sifted flour
2 tablespoon Salt
Sift flour and salt into large bowl. Cut in shortening until it is the
consistency of cornmeal and small peas. Store in airtight container or jar
in a cool place. Will keep for weeks! see below:
yield 18 cups of mix (enough for 68 pies) Source Swift'nin shortening
can (years ago)
TO MAKE CRUSTS:
9" crust mix 1 and One half cup dry mix with 23 Tablespns cold water
for a 2 crust pie use 2 and One half cups dry mix and 34 Tablspns water
