Recipe - Multigrain Buttermilk Bread -Machine

1 One half LOAF
1/3 cup Cracked wheat
1 One fourth cup Buttermilk OR 5 Tb of dry
Buttermilk powder and 1 1/4
C water
1 One half cup Bread flour(Plus 2 tablespoon flour)
1 One half cup Whole wheat flour
3 tablespoon Gluten
2 tablespoon Wheat germ
One fourth cup Cornmeal
1 One half teaspoon Salt
1 One half tablespoon Butter or margarine
2 tablespoon Honey
One fourth teaspoon Baking soda
3 teaspoon Red Star active dry yeast *
1 POUND LOAF
One fourth cup Cracked wheat
7/8 cup Buttermilk OR 3 tablespoons
Dried buttermilk powder and
7/8 cup water
1 cup Bread flour(plus 1 tablespoon flour)
1 cup Whole wheat flour
2 teaspoon Gluten
1 One half tablespoon Wheat germ
3 tablespoon Cornmeal
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Butter or margarine
1 One half tablespoon Honey
One fourth teaspoon Baking soda
2 teaspoon Red star brand dry yeast
(FOR ALL MACHINES)
* NOTE: for larger loaf 3 teaspoons of dry yeast for all machines except
1 One half pound Panasonic/ National machines (use 4 One half teaspoons yeast)
Have all ingredients at room temperature, or warm liquid in microwave for
40 60 seconds on high.
Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting, and press
Start.
After baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack and
allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
