2 Oranges; peel of, finely
shredded
1 cup Sugar; divided
2 cup Flour
3 teaspoon Baking powder
One half teaspoon Salt
1/3 cup Milk; about
1 Egg

Put orange peel inn saucepan and cover with water, adding One half cup of sugar.
Simmer until tender. Remove peel and cook liquid down to about 1/3 cup. In
mixing bowl combine rest of sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Ad milk
to orange syrup to make 2/3 cup liquid and mix with 1 egg. Stir all
ingredients together with orange peel. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350ø for
45 minutes.
