Recipe - Mr Foods Mushroom Barley Soup

4 lg Onions, chopped
6 lg Carrots, peeled and cut or sliced up
1 pound Mushrooms, thinly cut or sliced up
1 pound Stew beef, cut into
small cubes
8 cup Beef broth (made from a
soup base or a mix)
1 cup Medium barley
One half teaspoon Poon salt
One half teaspoon Black pepper
all the ingredients in a soup pot and bring to a boil, stirring
occasionally. Reduce the heat and simmer, partially covered, for about 1
hour. NOTE: If you'd like, add 1 or 2 shots of Irish whiskey with the other
ingredients for added flavor. It'll make it really Irish! In addition to
the base recipe ingredients, you might want to add some cutup hot dogs and
a teaspoon of caraway seed for Germa One half teaspoon each of oregano and
rosemary for Italianstyle soup.
