Recipe - Mothers Float (David Lettermans Moms Recipe)

1 tablespoon Flour
One half cup Sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon Butter
1 Egg, separated
2 cup Milk
1 teaspoon Lemon extract
1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
One half teaspoon Vanilla extract
In a small saucepan, combine flour, One half cup sugar, salt, butter, egg yolk
and milk. Over medium heat, bring to a boil. Add lemon extract. Set
aside to cool slightly. In a small bowl, beat the egg white until stiff.
Fold half the egg white into the pudding mixture. To the remaining beaten
egg white, add 1 tbsp. sugar and vanilla. Pour pudding into small
casserole dish. With a teaspoon, drop lumps of beaten egg white on
pudding, and brown in 350f oven for 5 to 10 minutes. Chill and serve.
