Recipe - Monterey Jack Bread

1 Loaf French bread; cut in
half lengthwise
One half cup Butter
Garlic salt to taste
1 cn (3oz) chopped green
chilies; drained
One fourth pound Monterey Jack cheese; grated
One half cup Mayonnaise
Preheat oven to 400ø. Melt butter in a saucepan and add garbc salt and
green chilies. Mix the cheese and mayonnaise together. Spread the butter
mixture on the 2 lengths of bread, then spread with the cheese and
mayonnaise mixture. Place on a cookie sheet and bake, uncovered, for 20
minutes. Slice into serving pieces. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
