Recipe - Mixed Nut Bars

Ingredients:

1 One half cup Allpurpose flour
Three fourths cup Packed brown sugar
One fourth teaspoon Salt
One half cup Plus 2 T. cold butter or
margarine, divided
1 cn (11 One half oz) mixed nuts
1 cup Butterscotch chips
One half cup Light corn syrup

In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt. Cut in One half cup of butter until
mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into a greased 13x9x2" baking pan.
Bake at 350 F. for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts. Melt butterscotch chips.
Add corn syrup and remaining butter; mix well. Pour over nuts. Bake for 10
minutes more. Cool. Yield: about 3 One half dozen bars. Submitted to magazine by
