Recipe - Mixed Meal Medley

Ingredients:

3 cup Water
One half teaspoon Salt or to taste
One fourth cup Rolled oats
One fourth cup Wheat flakes * see note
One fourth cup Barley flakes * see note
2/3 cup Nonfat dry milk
One fourth cup Wheat germ

A chunky, nutty blend of cereals that's worth the extra cooking time.
Prepare it the night before & reheat with a litte extra water or milk on
top of the stove or in the microwave. Alsoused in other Recipies Serves 2

1)Bring the water & salt to a boil in a small nonstick saucepan. Gradually
stir in the cereals. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stiring occasionally
2)Remove the pan from the heat and blend in the dry milk and wheat germ
thoroughly. Serve Immediately, with skim milk if desired.

2 Whole grain servings; 1calcium serving; 2/3 protien serving. NOTE: The
wheat and barley flakes can be found in health food stores

VARIATION: For a mixed meal medley for a sweet tooth, omit the salt,
substitue 1/3 Cup apple juice concentrate for 1/3 Cup of the water, and
stir One fourth Cup raisins or currants into the cereal after 15 minutes of
cooking
