Recipe - Miss America Cake Aka Red Velvet Cake

1 One half cup Sugar
One half cup Shortening
2 Eggs; well beaten
2 cup Minus
2 tablespoon Flour
One fourth teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Soda
1 cup Buttermilk
1 teaspoon Vanilla

PASTE
4 tablespoon (level) cocoa
1 teaspoon Red cake coloring
2 tablespoon Coffee

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, add flour in which soda and salt have
been added; add milk, vanilla and paste. Bake in two greased and lightly
floured cake pans at 350 degrees.
